CryptoBoat for Windows
The same game as cryptoboat.boats, with the same account and progress, in its own window on your desktop.
Optional compute sharing (mining)
Please read before downloading. The app contains an optional feature that uses part of your computer's processor (CPU) to mine cryptocurrency (Monero, through the unMineable pool). The proceeds go to CryptoBoat and help fund the weekly Prize Fund. In exchange you receive in-game Doubloons for every hour it runs.
- Off by default. Nothing runs until you turn it on yourself and confirm a clear notice.
- When on, it uses at most about 40% of your processor, at the lowest priority. It uses more electricity and may make your computer warmer or louder. It pauses on battery power.
- A green "Sharing ON" indicator is always visible while it runs. You can turn it off at any time from the app menu or Settings.
- It stops immediately when you close the app. It never runs after closing or when the computer starts.
- Doubloons are in-game currency only: they cannot be withdrawn.
- The website version never uses your device for this.
Antivirus and Windows warnings
Many antivirus programs, including Windows Defender, block programs that contain a miner, even optional ones. If that happens the game still works, but compute sharing will not be available. Windows may also show "Windows protected your PC" because the app is new. Never disable your antivirus because of CryptoBoat.
